In June 2025, Asgard Alaska’s founders, Amanda and Glen Kratochvil, joined the Three Barons Renaissance Fair in Anchorage. What a weekend it was! Glen and Amanda took to the field in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) heavy combat demonstrations. They stood alongside fellow fighters showing off the armor, discipline, camaraderie, and skill that bring history to life.
Rain at the Three Barons Renaissance Fair
Despite the rain, the spirit of the Three Barons Renaissance Fair never wavered. The food was as delicious as ever. Still, perhaps nothing captured the magic of the weekend more than the simple joy of standing in the rain. We shared ice cream with friends and laughed like wet but victorious raiders after a long day.
Many Hands Behind the Renaissance Fair
A huge thank-you to everyone who came out before the faire. You set up tents, the pavilion, and all the infrastructure. You made our presence possible, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.
We also want to give a special shout out to all the volunteers and supporters who braved the damp. You helped keep spirits high throughout the fair. You are the backbone of the community, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.
As a wise Northman may well have once said: “Many hands lighten the burden, and many hearts make strong the shield wall.”
