Day 1 of Mörsugr

Mörsugr is an ancient Viking month that occurs during the winter, often following the Yule period, which is centered around the winter solstice. It is known as “the bone-sucking month” because it was the coldest, longest, and darkest of all Viking months, a time when resources were scarce and the survival depended heavily on the stored food, particularly animal fat​​​​. The name itself reflects the need to consume stored fat to survive the harsh winter conditions.
