Camp Like Never Before

Asgard Alaska is building a historical campground with an emphasis on Norse culture and medieval societies. We will adapt traditional architecture styles to Alaska’s harsh conditions to give campers a way to experience the lives of civilizations who came before us so we can honor them and make sure their stories are never forgotten.

With your help, we will build a permanent historic Norse settlement and campground in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska. We do this to fulfill our mission which is to inspire, educate, and entertain Alaskans in the history-centric environments we create. Most donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Fresh Air

Fresh air brings Increased oxygen to your blood and is partly responsible for that feeling of happiness you experience with your first breath of fresh air at a new campground.

Exercise

When we camp, we usually participate in increased physical activitiy performing tasks such as walking, running, or fishing. Even 30 minutes of exercise each day has health benefits.

Improved Moods

Campers describe how they just seem happier for the first few days back after a camping trip. Spending time in the sun increases melatonin in your brain and wards off depression.

Social Benefits

While camping alone is plenty of fun, most people prefer to camp with others. The socialization that comes with camping improves relationships and extends your lifespan.
